Rooms with different views:
I am fascinated by those living in a high rise, as you get a bird’s eye view. You get a broader view of a lot of area.
From the 37th floor there was a different view from each window if my friend’s house. On that day, fake videos did the rounds of crowds gathering fir Eid. Just see for yourselves, where are the people?
On 1 side 1 could see the Eastern Freeway, Ballard Pier, JJ Hospital, JJ flyover, Gol Mandir, Saifee Hospital, Nariman Point…name it. Fascinating for sure
I took a walk around Duncan road on Eid. It was sad, with few people and loads of vehicles parked.
Yadavji, a cobbler, sat under the shade of his umbrella with the hope of some customer. On these times of lockdown, one doesn’t know when may face a situation of broken sandal/shoe/handle of a purse.
Mumbai, free Parking city
There may not be any other international city apart from Mumbai, that allows this kind of free parking. The two-wheeler menace just grows as no authority can control them.
Last Super Moon of 2020
On May 7, the full moon was dramatic as the clouds aided this entire play up in the skies.
The story of full moon nights is, when trying to take pics of the moon, since last many years, I have noted, the night prior and after the full moon is usually pleasing to eyes.
You get the most beautiful views and if there are Clouds, then there is drama in the skies
Talkies of our times…or single screen cinema theatres. On VP Road, The famous Alankar, which is shown in most Hindi films and a little ahead, Moti Mahal.
They finally began showing B, C grade films.
Walking on desolate streets
Barren Queen’s Necklace: Dreamers are missed
I go out once in few days to assess the situation on the ground. Which roads are.ooen, how strictly is the lockdown and curfew being enforced.
Walked to Walkeshwar and one can see couples sitting under the trees, people walking up and down the main road of Malabar Hill. As long as one is within their area, as police barricades are at every major junction and police ask for papers once it is dark.
By which time, one tends to forget all worries, as the lights begin to shimmer along the splendid Queen’s Necklace. I miss the crowded horizon of people who look to the horizon far into the sea, holding onto their dreams tightly….her neck is barren, almost naked!
One of those times I could catch the Sunrise, only to.see three workers walk towards JJ flyover. Could be CST, Masjid Bunder, as they asked for directions. Not the best times in our country.
The blazing sun just conveys my emotions.
Blue Skies and blue water, Mumbai has never seen such a sight!
“Blue skies, smilin’ at me, Nothin’ but blues skies do I see…Never saw the sun shinin’ so bright…” Frank Sinatra, Blue skies
Beautiful views of before and after: The Copper Pod trees that had only buds and later the yellow flowers shone, giving an irresistible lustre.
Second is the sunset and the colours after the sunset, more like a beautiful stale light
